Can I sell my home As-Is or make repairs?

Should you fix up your house before selling?

In most cases, yes, but the answer will depend on your unique situation.

For example, if you need to leave your home quickly for financial or personal reasons, it may be best to sell your home “as is.” Discuss what is best for your home with an experienced real estate agent.

When a real estate agent lists a home to sell “as is,” that does not change the buyer’s legal rights. The listing agent must still have the seller disclose known problems, and the buyer can still negotiate an offer with the final sale, contingent upon a real estate inspection.
